How to Export Flag Football Stats to MaxPreps

Updated: 2026-08-28By FlagStat

Uploading your flag football stats to MaxPreps gives your players visibility with college scouts, recruiters, local media, and parents. FlagStat has been an official MaxPreps stat import partner since March 2026 — months before any other flag-football-first platform.

This guide walks through the full process, from scoring a game to seeing your stats live on MaxPreps.

Before You Start: Prerequisites

Important: Your game must already be on your school's MaxPreps schedule before you can import stats. If the game is not on the schedule, MaxPreps will reject the import. Work with your school's MaxPreps administrator to ensure all games are added to the schedule before or on game day.

Step-by-Step Export Process

  1. Score your game in FlagStat

Start a new game in FlagStat (web or FlagStat Go on iPhone). Select your ruleset — NFHS 2026-27 for high school, NFL FLAG for youth, NIRSA for college intramural. Set up both team rosters with player names and jersey numbers. Score every play: completions, rushes, touchdowns, interceptions, flag pulls, penalties. FlagStat tracks individual stats for every player automatically.

  2. Finish the game and open the game report

When the game ends, FlagStat generates a complete game report with box scores, individual player stats, play-by-play log, and drive charts. You can access the report from the game over screen or later from your saved games.

  3. Open the MaxPreps export

In the game report, find the MaxPreps export option. This opens the MaxPreps export panel where you configure your school and submit.

  4. Enter your MaxPreps School ID

The first time you export, enter your MaxPreps School ID. FlagStat saves this so you do not need to enter it again for future games. Your School ID is the unique identifier in your MaxPreps team page URL.

  5. Submit the export

FlagStat submits your game stats directly to MaxPreps via the official Contest Stat Import API. Individual player stats — passing, rushing, receiving, defense — are mapped to MaxPreps stat categories automatically. You will see a confirmation when the export succeeds.

  6. Verify on MaxPreps

Visit your school's MaxPreps page to confirm the stats appear. Individual player stats, box scores, and game results should be visible within minutes of a successful export.
