How to Export Flag Football Stats to MaxPreps: Step-by-Step

Export your flag football game stats to MaxPreps using FlagStat. Step-by-step guide for coaches who want player stats visible to scouts.

Why MaxPreps Matters

MaxPreps is the largest high school sports statistics database in the country. College scouts, recruiters, and media use it to evaluate players. If your team's stats are not on MaxPreps, your players are invisible to the people who matter.

FlagStat has been an official MaxPreps stat import partner since March 2026, making it one of the few flag football platforms that can generate MaxPreps-ready export files.

Step-by-Step Export Process

  1. Score your game in FlagStat — Use play-by-play scoring to record every play with individual player attribution. Make sure your roster is complete with correct names and jersey numbers.
  2. Open the game report — After the game ends, go to the game report screen. You will see the full box score, play-by-play log, and individual stats.
  3. Tap "MaxPreps Export" — This generates a formatted file containing all individual player statistics in the format MaxPreps requires.
  4. Download the export file — Save it to your device.
  5. Upload to MaxPreps — Log into your MaxPreps coaching account, navigate to your team page, and upload the stat file using their import tool.

Tips for a Clean Export

  • Match roster names exactly — MaxPreps will reject stats if player names do not match your roster on their platform. Double-check spelling before exporting.
  • Score every play — Incomplete games produce incomplete stat lines. Log every play, including incomplete passes and penalties.
  • Export promptly — MaxPreps has deadlines for stat uploads. Export and upload within 48 hours of the game for best results.

What Gets Exported

The FlagStat MaxPreps export includes: passing yards, completions, attempts, touchdowns, interceptions, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, receiving yards, receptions, receiving touchdowns, flag pulls, sacks, and defensive touchdowns — every stat MaxPreps tracks for flag football.
